This definitely looks like a good and successful practice! This turn of the head is a great way to practice facial anatomy, and it looks like you did a good job with it. You also have very clean line art, which is always an important part of a character illustration. I'm also loving how bright the eyes are, they really show Percy's personality! Great work. :)
